Day 01: KATHMANDU

Arrive Kathmandu. Meet, assist and transfer to the hotel from the airport. In the evening, detail briefing about Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Oernight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: KATHMANDU SIGHSEEING. FLY NEPALGUNG

After breakfast visit Pashupatinath temple and Bouddhnath Stupa.

Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest Hindu Temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated amidst a lush green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in Pagoda Style has gilded roof and richly carved silver doors. Visitors will be permitted to view the temple from the east bank of River Bagmati, entrance in the temple being strictly forbidden to all non Hindus. Pashupatinath is the centre of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February/March. Behind the temples are the cremation grounds.

Bouddhnath Stupa: One of the oldest and the biggest Buddhist monuments ever built in Nepal, Furthermore it is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Kathmandu. Bouddhanath is an imposing structure standing some 36 meters. The Stupa stands on the massive three level mandala style Platforms surrounded by colourful private family houses. Listed in the UNESCO World Heritage list this site is considered very much like Mecca for the Buddhists and every year tens of thousands of pilgrims from all over the Himalayan region visit the Stupa.

Afternoon transfer to the domestic airport for a scheduled flight to Nepalgunj, the business and tourism hub of western Nepal.

Day 03: NEPALGUNJ ~ SIMIKOT HILSA ~ (PURANG TAKLAKOT)

After breakfast take a morning scheduled flight to Simikot. Simikot is located in far western Nepal, and is about as remote as you can get! The uncontrived nature of both the region and people will leave you with a lifetime of memories. It is one of the getways for the Mt. Kailash and Mansarovar. Upon arrival at Hilsa by Helicopter from Simikot, walk to Sher (Chinese Border) and drive to Purang town.

Day 04: PURANG

Full day rest at Purang.(Taklakot) for acclimatization.

Day 05: PURANG (TAKLAKOT) ~ MANSAROVAR (CHHU GOMPA)

Drive to Mansarovar and Puja/ a holy dip at the lake followed by Mansarovar Parikrama, circumambulation in landcruiser. Lake Manasarovar lies at 4,556 m (14947.5 ft) above mean sea level and is one of the highest fresh-water lakes in the world. It is relatively round in shape with a circumference of 88 kms Its depth is 90 m (300 ft) and its surface area is 320 square kms. The lake freezes in winter and melts only in the spring. Manasarovar is the source of the Sutlej River which is the easternmost large tributary of the Indus. Nearby are the sources of the Brahmaputra River, the Indus River, and the Karnali River (Ghaghara) which is an important tributary of the Ganges River, so this region is the hydrographic nexus of the Himalaya.

Day 06: MANSAROVAR (CHHU GOMPA)~ DARCHEN

Drive to Darchen (4502m) which is approx. 40 kms and takes about 1 hr & 30 mins. Full day is free for acclimatization.

Day 07: DARCHEN ~ DIRA-PUK

Start Kailash Kora/ Parikarma from Darchen pass, the first prostration point, Tarboch Flag Pole, the auspicious gateway and the sky burial ground, to Dira-Puk (4800m).

Overnight at Dira-Puk Guesthouse from where you have magnificent view of Mt. Kailash.

Day 08: DIRA-PUK ~ ZUTHULPUK

In the Morning we start our trek from Dira-Puk to Zuthulpuk (4700m). We trek through Drolma La Pass which is at an altitude of 18,600 ft, the highest point in the course of our journey. This is the most challenging day for pilgrimage with the total distance of 22 kms and 9 hrs. trek. Just below the Drolma La is the Gauri Kund. Gauri Kund is often known to be frozen. The story goes that once a woman with a baby tied to her back came to the pond. As she bent over, the child fell into the lake and drowned. The gods, in their effort to avoid such occurrences ev er again, froze the lake. The lake appears like a liquid jade green marble tabletop. We stay overnight at Zuthulpuk Guest house.

Day 09: ZUTHULPUK ~ PURANG (TAKLAKOT)

Today is the final day for Parikrama. After completing the circumambulation, trek back to Darchen and you will be driven back to Purang (Taklakot). Overnight at Purang.

Day 10: PURANG (TAKLAKOT) ~ HILSA ~ KATHMANDU

After an early morning breakfast, we drive to Hilsa via Sher, cross the border to fly to Simikot by a helicopter. From Simikot take scheduled connecting flights to Kathmandu via Nepalgunj.

Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 11: KATHMANDU

Breakfast at the Hotel, free till departure. Transfer to the International Airport to connect the flight for onward journey.
